Initially arising out of roots reggae , Jamaican Dancehall music started in the late 1980s as a unique sound . First sounds were rooted in riddims produced by sound systems, showcasing DJs toasting on simple instrumental loops. The music soon evolved fusing influences of hip hop and electronic beats, resulting in a more digital feel and faster temp
